What a great place to stay. The history of this home and pioneering family who built it. They have owned this home for 70 years. The lawn and landscape are beautiful. When we go back to Anchorage this home is where we will stay

Paul was a great host and was very responsive to all our questions. We loved the house. Great location and very clean with beautiful landscaping and lots of light. Also, having the bikes available for use was great!

This is a spacious home that suited us 4 adults and 3 children.
It was a big bonus for us to have use of the bikes provided as we could access the Coastal Trail from there. The central location made it easy to get to most places of interest.
Our only thought is that the home itself is getting a little tired and could use some refreshing.
Conveniently located 0.5 miles south east of downtown and 0.5 miles north of the bike trail, we had an excellent stay in anchorage. Paul was a kind host, allowing us to leave our luggage several hours early on our check-in day while we explored downtown Anchorage. Then to our dining delight he brought us fresh caught Sockeye Salmon filets. We took full advantage of the location, walking 6 blocks to the remarkable Anchorage Museum, checking out the local breweries and taking several bicycle rides on the Coastal Trail!! I would note, Paul keeps two bikes in good condition and makes them available to guests. A nice touch!I would also note, catching an Uber in Anchorage is quick and easy for a trip to the Zoo or an early morning ride to the RR Depot. We only wish we could have stayed longer, but we had a train to catch!!
