Seriously, if you are considering staying here, do not hesitate! Especially if you love being on the water, enjoy a lot of space, an accommodating host, a well stocked home, privacy, plenty of space to park, beautiful nature settings, and all the comforts of home!
We had a party of seven, plus a one year old. There were plenty of flotations (kayaks, boats and rafts) to have all of us out on the water at once. Plus, there were life jackets and fishing gear available from the well organized shed. The trout were plentiful for us during our second-week-of-August stay. They were so fun to catch! It is a smaller lake, but the benefit of that is that often it was only our group out on the water. The water was nearly always calm and the views... spectacular!
The cupboards and closets were overly stocked with towels and dishes, even some pantry items and some essentials like soaps, aluminum foil, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, etc. The downstairs (very private) houses a bedroom with a large bed and a bedroom with large bunk beds; plus a bathroom with laundry. The upstairs (also very private) houses two large rooms, one with a master bath, plus a separate bathroom. Both the upstairs and downstairs are half flights of stairs with both having their own doors for quiet and privacy. The bedroom closets had extra pillows and blankets. They really thought of everything!
There were games, puzzles and DVDs available; a large table and a smaller table; tons of counter space; a large fridge with ice and water; a cozy and large living room with blankets to settle in with and comfy chairs; plenty of lamps and lights, even a dimmer over the dining room.
The deck, surrounded by nature with spectacular views, was a beautiful setting for meals, with more than enough seating.
And then there was the wildlife! Many waterfowl, notably the friendly ducks that followed us around and allowed us to take some super sweet photos of them, and a bunny in the yard that let us get really close.
It was an amazing vacation and an absolutely wonderful place to stay! We really could not have asked for more!
Our sincere gratitude to the hosts for sharing this amazing house and property with us! It truly made our vacation a priceless one! Perhaps someday, we may be blessed enough to return!?
We loved the location. We took many day trips to various attractions. The lake was an added plus. We had plenty of room for everyone. We hope to make it back some day.

This was my second time using this property for a multiple night stay in Wasilla. It is the perfect place to be near everything you need in Wasilla but out in a beautiful, quiet setting. I will certainly stay at this property again.
