• Disappointing Stay with Hygiene Issues

  I stayed at this property for a few days over the Christmas break with my family, and also rented a nearby cabin for the rest of the family. The place is generally okay but it’s outdated and desperately needs attention.Most distressingly, the cabin was infested with rat droppings everywhere: in the pantry, in and around the beds in all three bedrooms, and even on the coffee and side tables in the living room. This level of neglect is simply unacceptable. Despite informing the owners/caretakers, their reaction was very casual. They promised to send someone to clean up and lay traps, but no one ever showed up during our entire four-day stay.In comparison, the second cabin we rented had more bedrooms, overlooked the lake, and was relatively cleaner and in much better shape. Despite these differences, both cabins were priced the same, which made us feel cheated.Until the owners address these hygiene issues and update the property, I cannot recommend this cabin to others.

  - We sincerely apologize for the mouse droppings in the pantry. Due to the timing of your stay during Christmas Eve, we were unable to send someone to address the issue immediately. However, traps have since been set, and we are working to ensure this does not happen again.
  - After inspecting the property, we did not find evidence of droppings in or around the beds or other living areas. We take these concerns seriously and will continue to monitor the situation closely.
  - Regarding the cabin’s condition, it is only 20 years old and features updated furniture, fixtures, and décor, all replaced in 2019. The cabin’s rustic aesthetic is intentional and reflects the property’s location in the woods by the lake, as shown in the photos online.

• Peaceful but warm

  It's a challenging drive to the home once you leave the hwy. Views are beautiful. The air conditioner did not work. The filter was disgustingly dirty. The showers and bathtub need a good scrubbing. We found the clubhouse by accident. But overall the home was comfortable with beautiful surroundings.

• Family vacation to Beaver Lake

  Our stay started off horrible but got better. Check in was not easy. walked into a hot, filthy house. The owner quickly showed up and attempted to make things right. The house had everything as described in the listing. The outside needed some TLC. Overall the stay was ok, but we could not get the house to cool down due to the HVAC system not having a clean filter.

• Fun family and friend getaway!

  Loved our stay! Perfect place to go and relax with family and friends. Enjoyed our time going out on the lake and boating for a couple of days. Hosts were very kind even though our kiddos rang the Ring doorbell a couple of times.. haha. The deck is perfect for morning coffee and watching deer.
