Beautiful home. First the pool is tiny compared to the picture. I wanted to stay at the home because the image of the pool it’s looks like a big pool but it is not as big as u think. Secondly the last day of our stay the pool was not able to be used because of cleaning. Last slight problem was that the guest before us didn’t set trash cans on the side of of road to be empty so there was a rather large trash pile and many flies lastly we used the fire pit only for the neighbor to get mad and comes over to the home to notify us of a fire in the back yard and the smoke is filling his home. Mind you this at 2-3am door bell ringing insisting we put the fire immediately. Other than those listed interruptions the home is beautiful, amenities nice and home is clean. Oh yea AC stuck at 83 so it does get warm
Hi Jacob, we’re so glad you enjoyed the beautiful home, but we’re sorry other aspects fell short of expectations. After sending your feedback to the owner, they’d like to clarify the following:
- The pool is one of the largest in the area, reaching a depth of 6 feet. You contacted us on Thursday, expressing concern about something you observed in the pool. It's essential to mention that the pool was treated the day before and undergoes regular maintenance every Wednesday.
- Upon receiving your message, we immediately reached out to the pool service provider, and they revisited the property on the same day to address the issue. It's important to note that there is a tree that provides shade to the pool area, and occasionally, debris from the tree may fall into the pool. This is what the service provider discovered during their revisit, which is a normal occurrence and beyond our control.
- Our guest guide includes information regarding trash collection procedures. Guests are kindly requested to place the trash bins on the curb on Thursday nights for Friday morning collections and to return the bins to the side of the house on Fridays.
- In this specific case, the previous guest didn't set out the trash for collection. On Tuesday, just before your check-in, we were alerted by the cleaning staff that the trash bins were already full. We promptly informed you about this situation. However, there was no immediate corrective solution possible because trash collection by the county occurs only once a week.
- The house has a fire pit in the backyard that guests are welcome to enjoy. Leaving a burning fire unattended overnight poses a significant fire hazard, as observed by vigilant neighbors who brought it to your attention. We appreciate the concern for safety and respectfully ask our guests to exercise caution and adhere to safety guidelines when using the fire pit.
- The house has two separate A/C units controlled by Ecobee TSTATs, as described in the guest guides—one for upstairs and one for downstairs. To keep the house cool in Sacramento's high temperatures (90 to 102°F), guests should adjust both TSTATs, as both units are needed. Additionally, the Ecobee TSTATs are internet-connected and may adjust setpoints during high-demand periods to conserve energy during power blackouts or peak demand days.
