Great stay.
5/5 Booked the Riverfront retreat to accommodate my parents (from PA) and Aunt(from Texas) and my family since my house wasn't big enough. It was a great decision. Everyone really enjoyed it and had a great stay.

Buena Vista hideaway
4/5 Quirky and interesting property in an excellent location. I enjoyed the details and care that went into building and decorating this house. Someone spent a lot of time and love on this place. I enjoyed our stay.
Whoever that someone was, they obviously haven't been involved with the property for a decade of two. The current operator is clearly trying to monetize it with the absolute minimum of investment. Kitchen seems to have been kitted out with garage sale rejects. Some light fixtures don't work, others have a random mix of bulbs with different color temps. Some smoke alarms were missing. Towels and linens may have been bought at a garage sale as well!
Since they are charging at the higher end for a rental place, they need a little more investment in the details.

Wonderful location, unique accommodations, needs a spring cleaning
3/5 Overall, we had a great stay at the Riverheart retreat. It had a great location right on the river with a great adobe style villa. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy the property. Check in was easy and property management was friendly. Our only trouble was that upon arrival the home still needed cleaning (floors/rugs not vacuumed and dishes needed additional washing), which was disappointing given the cleaning fee.
We still had a great time and would consider returning if the cleaning issue is resolved. Definitely a great place to unwind, listen to the river and take in the stars from the hot tub.
