  The listing was accurate and host was responsive and accomodated an early check in. However, we arrived late at night to dozens of moths inside and a sticky mouse trap on the couch so that was a less than desirable experience after 16 hours on the road. Throughout the week long stay the bedroom, front and screen doors that werent well fit and you have to slam to close plus wiping up the water that the swamp cooler spit all over was a bit annoying. Overall, the place served it purpose, the beds were confortable, the place was clean and the price was decent.

  Positives first:*Canon City is beautiful and has alot to offer!*We requested a Christmas Tree be placed in the house since we were celebrating in CO!Negatives (ALOT):*Location of home is close to the Department of Correctional Facility. *Home is way smaller than mentioned and pictured.*Home has alot of repairs needed: kitchen countertops (knife marks and scuffs), kitchen cabinets (old and doors/drawers wouldn't close properly), hole in floor/no flooring (this was covered by a rug), base boards missing (the whole entry/laundry area/parts of kitchen).*No utensils to properly cook. The one spatula there was burnt and melted (not usable). I had to buy utensils so we could cook meals. Pans are also missing, 9x13 sheet pans, and baking pans for lasagna or cassaroles.*Nails sticking out of the floors. My children were playing and their clothing or socks got caught on the nails. We went throu 3 pairs of socks in 5 days.We only slept at the location, had to reschedule our Christmas to another house due to the size of house. We stuck it out but, will not book here again when we return.Thanks.of Correctional Facility.

  - We did put a Christmas tree up as requested, and while it was artificial to avoid any issues with pests, we hoped it added to your celebration.
  - Regarding the location, the home is near historical prisons, which are a part of Canon City's history.
  - The home's photos were professionally taken to reflect the property accurately.
  - The kitchen and home furnishings are used by many guests, and we apologize if any cookware or utensils were missing during your stay. Unfortunately, we weren't made aware of this during your visit, or we would have been happy to assist.
  - There are no nails sticking out, as the floors were recently installed. The rug in the entry area covers an access point for maintenance purposes and is there for convenience.
  We appreciate your feedback and will use it to continue improving the guest experience.
