We booked this through VRBO & we were moved to Evolve. I would not do business with them again. For the most part our stay was fine. The house photos are accurate. We had issues upon arrival, including providing inaccurate information to get into the property. The gate was chained & the access code was not correct. The access code to the house NEVER worked & the property manager didn't seem to care since there was a physical key in a lockbox that the manager guided us to. The property manager responded quickly to our needs. The water had a bad sulfur smell, which we reported. S&S Water Solutions was sent out a few times during our 2 month stay to remedy this & the situation appeared resolved. The 2 guys from S&S were wonderful, I would highly recommend their company. When cooking with the water we found it to be rusty. We decided to always use bottled water for drinking and eating. We have a well at our home & have rust but we have a filter to deal with it, never see it in our boiled water. We were provided no information on trash days, or wifi password so we needed to contact the manager again. We have stayed in MANY locations in FL and around the world actually & this provided the least amount of information to get us started. The internet access is HughesNet & the speed was OK. We had trouble with buffering at night with TV. We were able to video call but we did not try that and TV at the same time. We live in a very rural area but we have fiber connectivity so we may be spoiled. I purchased a vacuum cleaner because the one provided smelled like the motor was burning when I tried to use it. The kitchen had dirty pans & the silverware & dishes were very limited in number, even for 2 people. The large bedroom was a sanctuary for us while the other watched TV. That was nice. The back porch was a terrific place to watch the sunset & we were able to watch a pair of Sandhill cranes lay & hatch eggs. Bring binoculars! There were chairs to sit by the firepit, but they were locked so we were unable to use them. The fire level was high during our time but to have the option to sit out there would have been nice. Due to the length of time at this location I am able to provide a more thorough, thoughtful review of our experience. My reviews are typically not this long.

This very upscale cabin was a delight to stay in. Extremely comfortable, with very upscale amenities. Extremely nice and very roomy principal bedroom and an excellent attached bathroom. Be aware that post-hurricane the yard was quite water-soaked. We didn't intend to use the outdoor facilities, so it was not an issue for us. The owner clearly set this up for living there himself. We will be back in the area again and hope that this log cabin is available again. If it is available, it will be our first choice.

    5/5

House was clean and comfortable. Great views of wetlands and lake. Bird watching was great as were the sunsets. Nice big safe fire pit. Close enough to get to Disney or other attractions. Minor traffic noise with proximity to road but not that frequent.

Shopping nearby. Fenced yard and driveway gate provided a bit of security.

Provided pots and pans but no baking pans. Salt and pepper only bring what you want if cooking. Overall very comfortable.
