  • Don't stay here - Downstairs smells like a wet dog lived in it for a year

    We arrived at the unit and entered downstairs to find the unit had a horrible dog smell. Upon entry we noticed 2 air purifier systems running and counted about 10 air purifier bags. The linens and towels all smelled like a dog. Other issues included mold on the upstairs bathroom ceiling along with missing cabinet pulls, leaky sink faucet, pee stains all over upstairs 15yr old mattress, door seals coming off and no tv (Only streaming apps you have to log into) It stated LG air channels but even these didn't work. We tried to re-wash all the linens and towels but didn't help much. Also re-mopped the floors ourselves.

    After this discovery of being in the unit for 30minutes we called Evolve and asked to move. They said they would call us back but never did. It was a one way street with this company. Over the next few days of only me calling Evolve and never getting call backs I finally got an email 6 days from the day I had checked in and was already at home again by that time. They stated that they would offer me a $75 refund. With this email though was correspondence from both Evolve and the homeowner who basically told Evolve I was lying and was going to block me from staying at his property.

    Do yourself a favor. Stay away from Evolve as they are immature in being able to handle homeowners along with running a rental program with any integrity in taking care of the customer. This property needs to be listed as pet friendly and if that's your thing you will be fine. Good luck.

    • Our cabin has a strict no-pet policy, and we have two exterior cameras focused on the front door and driveway to ensure compliance. No pets were seen entering the property during your stay.
    • We have an air purifier and dehumidifier in the cabin as a courtesy to guests due to the mountain climate and to ensure air quality — not to mask odors.
    • We fully stand behind our cleaning team, who consistently receive compliments and 4- and 5-star reviews. We had multiple highly rated stays immediately before and after yours.
    We understand communication delays can be frustrating, and we are following up with our management partner to ensure better responsiveness moving forward.

    My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quaint mountain cabin. It was perfect for our group and we loved all the updated amenities. It was very close to downtown blue ridge and the pictures in the listing are accurate. The hot tub, fire place and decks with stunning views made our stay special.

  • No power

    I drove 3 hrs to the location and when I arrived it was no power, the lady that’s on the contact information said she didn’t handle things like that , So after 1 hr I decided to leave the property. Was a waste of time money and gas

This was part of a widespread disruption in the Blue Ridge area that affected over 375 homes and, unfortunately, was entirely outside of anyone’s control. As a gesture of goodwill, we extended the option of a full refund or a complimentary night on a future stay—an effort to make things right despite the brief and unforeseen nature of the interruption. We take great pride in our cabin and the consistently positive experiences shared by our guests.
