Pluses* Great location - this property is not that far away from any attractions, but is far enough down Highway 90 that you don't get as much road noise at night. We've stayed at several beachfront places in Biloxi and Gulfport, one of them a high-rise, and you get a lot of noise throughout the night in those towns.* Beach is right across the street and very convenient. The front two bedrooms have ocean views.Opportunities for Improvement *Ceiling fan in the living room doesn't work and according to the Host, never has. Not a big deal, but if you're from the South, you're used to having working ceiling fans in every room.* There was no soap for the bathtub/shower. There was a small pat of soap in each bathroom for the sink. We had cars, so a trip to Walmart resolved that.* The TV in the living room is mounted flush to the wall. We usually bring a device (Amazon Fire stick, Apple TV, etc.) that has subscriptions. Being so flush, we couldn't plug in the stick, but was able to fish a HDMI cable (for Apple TV) with a skinny arm. Suggest the host plug one in that can be used for this purpose. FYI- we tried to use the TV apps (Netflix), but had issues connecting to the house wi-fi. Other devices, phones, tablets, had no issue connecting.Observations*With a great view comes steep stairs. If one of your travelers has any issues, be aware.* This is for any beachfront property you rent, be aware that you'll have road noise from the front and train noise from the back. There are only two trains that run during the night. This is not specific to this property, it's any property.Overall, we had a nice stay.

From the owner, "Hi Cecil, Thank you for the helpful review! You’ll be pleased to know that a new ceiling fan has been installed! I will definitely check into making the TV more accessible. You are the first to mention it, but I can see how it could be an issue. I do strive to make guests as comfortable as possible, and suggestions from guests like you make that possible!"
From the owner: "Anika was a great guest! She followed all the house rules and left everything in place! I would definitely host again."
The good first. The home is beautiful and the beach being right across the street was amazing for our group. Now the bad. During our stay we returned to the home to prepare for dinner only to find out the water was shut off to the home. We contacted the management company to see if they knew anything. They contacted the owner at around 3:00 who said they had been told that water would be shut off due to some construction in the area. About an hour later a guy from the water company stopped by the house for some reason. We asked him when he thought the water would be3 turned on and he looked confused. Then proceeded to inform us that the owner had received 2 shut off notices due to non payment and that the water would be off until at least the next day IF the owner paid up first thing in the morning. We were relocated to a hotel for the night which the rental company reimbursed us for. The owner contacted us the next morning by text and simply said "water is back on, sorry for the inconvenience". I then asked the owner about getting a reimbursement for the night we paid for in the house but forced out. They stated that they had already contacted the management company and approved that refund. A week goes by without a refund and I contact the owner who now says they only approved a reimbursement for the hotel. So we paid for a beautiful beach view and ended up with a nasty parking lot view. I would NOT recommend renting this place. The owner is a flat out liar.

Hi Jason, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review:
- We initially thought the water issue was due to nearby construction, but after contacting the water department, we learned the account hadn’t been paid—something we’ve now taken care of. They also confirmed they hadn’t sent a bill, which led to the oversight
- We’re sorry this caused such a disruption and appreciate your patience while we worked to restore service and cover the cost of a hotel for the night
- We understand there was confusion around reimbursement, and we’ll be clearer going forward to avoid any mixed messages
Thanks again for sharing your feedback.
Great location. Perfect for a family or group stay.
