4/5 Location was convenient to the festival and downtown Banner Elk. We had a beautiful view of the mountains. The home was clean and had most amenities that were needed. However, we were disappointed with the lack of concern from the hosts that there was an infestation of wasps. We killed at least 30 to 40 of them during our stay. It was difficult to sleep with a fear that they might enter the bedrooms.After contacting the hosts, no solution to the problem or compensation was offered. This led us to give the location a lower rating. We would not stay here again because of this.We would also suggest that the owners add boxsprings to the beds so that they are not so low to the floor. It would also make them a little more comfortable.

Great location in Banner Elk
4/5 We walked to all the downtown attractions, restaurants, arcade, ice cream, summer concert in the park and were able to watch the 4th of July fireworks over Sugar Mountain off the back porch. Unit could use a little updating and the master bathroom shower was tight, but overall it met our families needs for vacation.
