• Cute clean condo, could use updates

  I stayed one night with my teenage daughter and her friend, so we had more than enough room. Property was clean, check in was easy. Great updated kitchen, but lacking in some items (pizza/cookie sheets for one). The check out procedure requests that you wash all dishes and put them away- not unreasonable but there was absolutely no way to wash the dishes. No detergent, sponges, etc. A tiny starter pack of items (provided at other rentals I’ve stayed at) would be amazing to any guests that either stay only a night or two and don’t bring these items or even tired guests that can’t get out right away to get these items. So, no hand soap, no dish detergent, no dishwasher pods, etc- just want future guests to be aware. Although we had plenty of room, and common areas are a good size, the one bedroom with the double/queen is tight. Bathrooms are also small. Closets are a good size, with the exception of the master because half of it is an owner’s closet. The master bedroom is spacious though, and would accommodate an air mattress, etc. All bedrooms have TVs, all are Roku so you can watch without having to sign in to your own streaming services (but you can do that if you wish). There is a fair amount of noise from neighbors in adjoining units. This is an end unit, and while it *may* provide additional privacy, it’s right beside a roadway in the complex. More information in the condo about the complex (pools, amenities, etc) be helpful.

• Great potential

  This first floor condo had a lot of potential but seriously needs some upgrades. The cleanliness was actually okay except the back porch was very dirty when we arrived. Unfortunately there was no broom or mop or vacuum cleaner so we had no way to clean our own sand as the week went on and had to borrow a broom from a neighbor. The issues that we had were: the laundry room door sticks on the floor and needs to be trimmed on the bottom it looks like new flooring has been put on and the door needed to be adjusted, the master bathroom is functional but very small. Especially the toilet needs to be updated. The owners definitely need to make sure a broom is included, and a mop would be nice as well for those of us who stay for several days. The mattresses are very very good. The air conditioning was good. The kitchen was equipped fine, the oven stove microwave refrigerator we're all good and the dishwasher was good. Much appreciated the drip coffee maker.

• Emerald Isle get-away

  This was the perfect condo for our family of four. 3 bedroom meant each teen had their own space and the beach was just a few short 150 feet away. The Bogue Pier is about 1.5miles down the beach. A walk the boys did daily.

• First Time experience

  As first time renters in VRBO, we may try them again. We didn’t receive our check in information from the listing agent, unit wasn’t clean when we arrived once we got in which was about 30minutes past our time and it delayed our time at the beach with family. This was a one night trip and it was so for my birthday I could experience a sunrise. Once we got in touch with the agent they sent someone immediately and they brought everything we needed to enter and exit the property gate. Cleaned the property and treated us well once made aware of the situation. We had a great time. They extended our check out time to 12 from 10:00am to compensate us for our troubles.
