  • Perfectly Quaint and Secluded

    5/5

Loved our stay here...great location that is completely private and secluded yet just a short drive from everything. The home is cozy, interesting, and well-equipped. Spectacular views. We even enjoyed cherries fresh off the tree in the orchard. Looking forward to returning in the future.

  • Beautiful view and comfortable stay!

    5/5

We had a wonderful time here! We could have stayed on the front porch drinking coffee all day. The view was beautiful, beds were very comfortable, and the location was perfect. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Family getaway

    5/5

Absolutely had a great visit. Son was home on leave and gave us a chance to spend time with him without all of the daily distractions.

Listing was very accurate and home was clean and neat

Hopefully will go back again in the future

    Manager's Response:

From the Owner: "What an honor to have an active serviceman
Staying in our vacation rental. I am glad it allowed family time together away from the demands of life and serving our country. I hope we see you again."

  • Cozy Little Farmhouse

    5/5

Our family really enjoyed our stay! It was exactly as described. The beds were comfortable; as we also enjoyed the pond, sunsets on the porch, and Hershey, the donkey. We found him some pears from a tree on the property and he loved them! We look forward to booking the house again, as our daughter attends Mars Hill University and it's only about a 10 mile drive to the school.

  • Hurricane Helene stay - hence 4 stars out of 5

    4/5

We rented this house for two adults during a visit to Weaverville family. What was supposed to be a rainy if somewhat windy stay turned into a long weekend without power, water or cell service while hurricane Helene devastated western NC. But this review is about the house, not the weather. Lovely old house with up to date furnishings. A tiny bit musty until it aired out, after that fine. The bedrooms are a bit odd due to it being an old house, but absolutely fine. Comfortable, many books, lots of kitchenware. I can't speak to anything power driven, such as stove, etc., because the power cut off the first night we were there (again due to Helene, not the house) and of course is still out. The position of the house at the end of the road on a hill was just beautiful. Neighbor donkey was quite enjoyable (he likes carrots). Wonderfully quiet, with forest behind. The full hot tub came in very handy for a water source to flush the commodes as were were marooned until we found out how to get ourselves home with 3 interstates closed due to flood and landslide damage. We will definitely be back once Weaverville and Buncombe County recover from the terrible damage they've suffered. This house stood firm and was a safe haven for us.
