When I booked this trip a couple weeks prior to our stay, I was sure to proactively request that we be able to check in a couple of hours early. I never did get a response back to my inquiry. Upon early arrival, I reached out to the host via phone call, email and text. There was still quite some delay giving us an answer to early access. It wasn’t just the older, musty and settled in smell that was inconveniencing. There were also three clocks in the kitchen, all inaccurate. The batteries in the remote for the light in the bedroom and the television must be too old, it took many attempts to control them. It didn’t help that two of the three remotes were broken. We also encountered some difficulty with using the TV, as there were multiple accounts remaining signed in as well as a frequent interruption to verify the google account logged in to the device being used for access. We wanted to enjoy the single brew keurig that was available in the kitchen, however the creamer meant to be added was curdled and probably there longer than the batteries previously mentioned. This location was great for our small dog, one of the more dog-inclusive spaces with the small yard (not enclosed) and the neighborhood was good for short walks. I cannot say that there was much to be appreciative of, otherwise.

This location was a originally a single home two-story brick block structure, where part of the back of the first floor had been converted into its separate apartment with a small kitchen, living room, bedroom and a small but full bath. Everything about it was, I feel, all one needed if you wish to utilize those services, viz the kitchen. The entrance opens out onto a deck that then leads into a backyard that is three-quarter fenced. Not the sides along the building, so don’t expect that if you bring a pet, you can enclose them unsupervised. But that’s probably the best anyway because you need to clean after up after your pet and that’s hard to do if you’re not watching them. My mini poodle enjoy going out in the morning first thing and exploring the backyard and doing his business. I believe the rest of the house is inhabited by a long-term tenant but not my contact person. I will say not once during my entire stay did I ever even hear noise coming from the rest of the building so I felt that was another plus. The building is along a busy street, but it is the kitchen that faces that so I did not find street noise a big issue at night in the living room or the bedroom. Parking was on the street and is well lit, so I was not overly concerned about personal auto crime. The location is very ideal, within walking distance of several coffee, shops, and restaurants, as well as neighborhood places just to walk my dog. It is very close to a major bus route if you’re looking to use public transit to get around. My contact person was very responsive to some very minor initial issues such as resetting the wireless. There is only one bed, so not ideal for more than a couple. I would consider rebooking on my next visit to the Queen City.

Clean, spacious spot. Perfect for a quick weekend stay in Cincinnati for a sporting event or concert.

The write up did not say it was an apartment in a house. I wish I knew before hand. Additionally, the kitchen is poorly stocked to cook dinners. The internet from the check in did not work, I had to hot spot on a weekday to work from the house. The contact was slow to respond. When he did the internet still did not work, the TV did not work due to slow internet. The house is in a great area, lots to walk to close to the city but if you actually need to do anything at the house, they will need to step it up. I looked for blankest and could not find a single one.
