The inside was cozy & decorated nicely but lots of dust & the outdoor area was not very inviting or maintained very well as it was not easy to navigate without tripping on vines or poison ivy. The grass did not seem to be mowed regularly.

  • Loved this cabin!

    5/5

This place was perfect for our family get away! The kids loved the pond and playground, and we all enjoyed the rustic feel inside the cabin. It was peaceful and relaxing yet close to nearby attractions. We highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the state park and outdoor activities plus the nearby shops, dining, and tourist attractions as well!

It was a place to stay, location was fine but the house needs work for sure. Flooring coming up and covered with carpets, coffee maker doesn’t keep the pot hot. One stair is loose and made my wife worry to much. For a small place ac wasn’t the best. We didn’t stay at the house much as we were out and about but for the cost and fees this place should’ve been have the price I believe.

  • Great getaway

We loved the deck and the little pond. The kids enjoyed looking at the frogs and other wildlife. A very nice place to get away and get outside.

  • Step Up from Camping

    3/5

My husband and I, along with our two teenage daughters, stayed here for three nights. The cabin was adequate for our needs, but definitely on the rustic side.

The kitchen was very minimal (no dishwasher, and the oven, stove, and microwave were small and outdated) which made cooking meals a bit of a challenge. We expected a compact space, but the layout of the living area made it feel even more cramped. The kitchen table was heavy and positioned uncomfortably close to both the fridge and the sofa. We couldn’t sit together for meals or play board games at the table without first rearranging the furniture.

The cabin sits on a small pond shared with several other cabins, which were much closer together than we expected. It felt more like a campsite than a secluded cabin getaway. We could clearly hear neighboring conversations in the evenings while sitting outside. Also, there were no blinds on the windows, just very thin curtains, which didn’t offer much privacy, especially with other cabins in such close proximity.

While we don’t mind older or rustic accommodations, this one felt a bit worn and not particularly well-maintained. But the location was great, very convenient to Beaver's Bend, which made getting to and from the park easy.

Overall, it was a step up from tent camping - but not by much.
