Walk to Lincoln City Beach: Townhome w/ Balconies!

  This house was in the perfect location, truly a walk to the beach. It had enough beds for our whole party to be comfortable. But sadly when we arrived on our first night around 7:30 pm we found the upstairs bath without a toilet seat or lid and no explanation from the host/owner as to why it was in that condition upon arrival. We emailed the host and left it at that until we found both bathrooms had showers that were unusable at 9:30 pm when one person in our party went to take a shower. The mechanism that allowed you to switch from a bath to a shower had been removed in both bathrooms. We again emailed the host who responded at 10:32 pm that she would reach out to the owner and update us in the morning. At 11:18 am the next day we received a message that the host was looking for a toilet seat and a plummer. At 3:45 pm we were told that everything was fixed. Which we were grateful for. But we still felt some sort of discount was warranted since we had to go into the first day of our vacation without showers, but the rental company decided that because we did not take photos or have what they felt was proper documentation, we did not get any compensation/discount for our stay. We still enjoyed our stay but would have enjoyed it more if we had arrived to a fully functioning house.

  VERY CLEAN, ONLY ISSUE CAME WHEN ONE OF THE GUESTS LEFT THE HOUSE, THEY HAD TO CONTACT ME FOR A NEW CODE TO GET BACK INSIDE. OTHER THAN THAT, ALL WENT WELL, AND IT WAS A NICE PLACE TO STAY.

  Really good location. You have 2 parking spots off the road (if you have a car bigger than our Honda Pilot, you may not fit in the garage though), limited street parking and some public parking very close. It's only a short walk to the main road in town & the beach is just down the street the other way. Kitchen was stocked well. There are 2 flights of stairs to the main area, in case that's a consideration for some. Carpet is close to its end of life. Clean enough...though there were more random long hairs than I wanted to see in the main bathroom & the shower curtain liners need to be replaced as they are becoming grody/discolored. There weren't any written instructions for wi-fi or what they expected for clean up at check out. Communication with the local liaison was quick but the spots they suggested we should find this info at the home were missing the instructions. I'm sure this will be remedied for the next guest though.
