If there was a rating between Absolutely Awful and Barely Acceptable it would apply to this property and this resort community. Country Place is poorly run (took about an our to check in due to the cumbersome process and only two staff to handle it) - amenities were exaggerated, not sufficient to the size of the community and with outsized hidden fees ($12 per day per person for anyone who wanted to use the 2 pools - which were cleared for 1 hour after each heard thunder in daily thunderstorm weather, the two tennis courts and the truly “miniature” 9 hole golf course). The combination door alarm began announcing “Replace batteries now” upon arrival. none of the bedrooms had bureaus, a suitcase stand and two did not even have a closet. The property looked like it hadn’t been used for months - water still shut off to washers since it was winterized - back yard covered with piles of leaves and downed branches. Play set in disrepair and unusable. Propane tank for grill empty. Rear sliding door unfunctional and its vertical blinds broken. Globe off hall light, nome of the bedroom ceiling fans had pull chains to operate them, filters on window ac units clogged/dirty, main downstairs ac unit had only one setting functional (max) and could only be turned off by pulling the plug. Many other little things including a clogged vacuum cleaner that I fixed. When owner was apprised of these issues on day 1 she promised to send her GC out to rectify. When he finally arrived on day 4 he said that he was only there to turn on the washer water- a chore he couldn’t do without more help as he would have to move the washer and dryer out of the closet in which they were housed to get to the valves. None of the other issues were rectified either. In short the physical property was not maintained at all and if the GC’s limited assignment is a sign - it would be in shape to be rented to the next tenant either.

- The issues you reported were communicated late Friday, and a general contractor was sent out Monday. When he arrived, he was informed that only the washer issue needed addressing, and the other items were not to be fixed during your stay.
- The door lock batteries have been replaced, and the washer water has been turned back on.
- The yard is professionally maintained, though we’ll review it more closely to ensure it meets guest expectations.
- All community amenities and their associated fees are fully detailed in the listing so guests can review them before booking.

The owner allowed us to check out 2 hrs before the original check out time which we GREATLY appreciated.
BUT the house was very dirty, dust everywhere the bathroom railings kept coming off, the doors were busted our bed sheet on the bottom floor had “Dutch” paper meaning it was not washed from the previous people that stayed. The back yard was very dirty my family and I had to clean it.
Nothing in the home was kept well or clean. The house on the inside just had way to many holes in walls some tiles were broken. You can tell it is not really taken care of. For the amount we paid that home should’ve looked way better. Also this home is way smaller than what the picture shows. Bathroom also had a tiny sewer smell. Towels looked dirty as well.
Lake was also dirty.
I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it. Lastly they have a security alarm that the host nor the owner knew how to stop the loud noise it was making my wife and I had to figure it out.

The home was cleaned and inspected before your stay, and photos taken by the cleaning team prior to your arrival show that the home was cleaned thoroughly and in great condition. However, we regret that this was not your experience, and we are committed to ensuring that any potential issues are addressed immediately.
-Backyard and Lake: We’re sorry that the backyard and lake didn’t meet your expectations. The yard is regularly maintained professionally and the cleanliness of the lake is also tested regularly to ensure it is safe for swimming, however, their condition can be affected by natural factors beyond our control.
While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to report that guests who stayed just prior to you posted a great review that mentioned the home was very comfortable and clean, in addition, no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.
