When we arrived for check in,we were informed that the property was unavailable due to a water problem. That part I totally understand! But there was no communication to warn us, and we were left with NO place to stay for this night. We have 6 people coming from all different parts of America meeting here for a family vacation. First the property should be listed as having a 4 wheel drive vehicle would be recommended, I have an SUV, and I definitely need a alignment now because of the path. Other family members arrived in a compact car, there is no way this vehicle could have made it up and down more than a few times. In the dark it is extremely difficult to maneuver this steep, one lane, curvy road, with NO poor lighting. I would not recommend this location for anyone. Next we will address the fact that we were left with NO place to stay for this night. The contact said we needed to call VRBO, mind you it is now 6pm at night. VRBO said we needed to call the booking agent?? I booked everything through the VRBO app for this trip,so I have not spoken with anyone until arriving at the property. After another hour of arguing with someone located in a different time zone, we were left to find a place to stay for 6 people on a Friday night when there was a big college football game tonight (I was unaware of this until calling hotels in area, again we are from out of town). So we had to drive 45 minutes, and pay 600 out of our pockets to have a place to sleep tonight.

Everything was reasonably clean and comfortable. The cabin is at the end of a long, steep hill with a mix of gravel and asphalt with some large potholes and ruts. The description states 4 wheel or all wheel drive recommended…I would say it is almost required especially if rain is in the forecast. Wet leaves made the climb difficult for my son’s front wheel drive van. Overall we were very happy with the rental.
We arrived monday eve and reported first thing tuesday morning that the water had shut off for a period and that it smelled strongly of sulfur. We were instructed to report our request for another cabin to Evolve which we did. Mohamed said he would compensate us for the stay and would look for another property for us to move to. We didn't hear back from either the host or Mohamed until we reached out. The host had done nothing about the water issue, hoping it was resolved since it was intermittent. Mohamed found a few airbnb options but provided no information about how we would be compensated for a second booking. We resorted to troubleshooting the water pump issue ourselves and reported the findings back to the host who told us to call the owner. Thursday afternoon a well contractor came out and tried flushing the lines and checking the breakers. He noted the filter had been removed and no replacement pump was available. We had issues with no water every day of our stay, the issue with the sulfur smell seemed resolved after the contractor added the missing filter back but we then had a very strong septic smell in the lowest level. Mohamed quit communicating after providing the airbnb options and the water issues were never resolved. We left the cabin as clean as we could without any water, dish detergent or laundry detergent. No one called to apologize for our inconvenience. I've waited 4 days for communication about the incident and requested an update on compensation. No one has communicated back.

The property was very nice. Had an issue with the door not being powered but was able to get the backup key very swiftly. There wasn’t a grill and warning THE DRIVEWAY IS STEEP! We had an amazing time. 3 couples and it was very peaceful. The wraparound patio was an amazing touch too.
