  Beautiful location & ideal layout, but current state not as advertised.Pros:•Nice neighborhood•Waterfront in back•Ideal size & bed/bathroom layout•Kitchen & bar areas, primary bathroom•Good communication from owner•On site access: dock, kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, outdoor games, pool table•Stocked items: clean bedding, towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, coffee, sugar, spices, trash bags, basic toiletries, hairdryers Cons:•house not as clean as pictures, bedding not as nice as pictures, outdoor furniture was much newer in the pictures (some broken)•months or years since it has been cleaned (dirty windows and walls, dusty banister, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom floors, hair & hair pins on the floor, in drawers & cabinets, moldy shower tiles & bathtub, dirty bathroom mats (we washed them upon arrival), back patio dirty beyond typical outdoor environment, broken fan piece on the floor of a bedroom, empty beer bottle inside a bathroom cabinet)•General upkeep not done in months/years (much paint chipped inside along windows & door trims, markings on most walls, a few places where walls were patched but not painted, dishwasher pieced together & we had to fix seal & utensil holder with every use, upstairs toilet flusher came apart, shower curtain moldy, dish towels & washcloths worn, outdoor ceiling fan/lights broken•upstairs deck unusable-blocked off with caution tape•All 3 trundle beds broken

  Hi Ann, we’re glad you enjoyed the waterfront location, spacious layout, and appreciated the stocked amenities and good communication. The homeowner would like to address the following concerns:
  - We strive to maintain a clean home and now have our cleaning partner take a full video walkthrough before each guest arrives; while some wear and tear exists, we prioritize overall cleanliness and comfort.
  - Our beds have duvet covers that are changed between each stay. Other guests have mentioned that they love the mattresses and the bedding.
  - The home is pet-friendly, which does result in some scratches and visible wear; we’ve chosen not to do a full cosmetic refresh in order to keep the property affordable for families and pet owners.
  - We did need to repair the toilet flusher after your stay. It had not been an issue previously.

  We were in town for a wedding and this house had everything we needed and extras we enjoyed. It was comfortable and fun with room for everyone. The host was helpful and flexible with prompt communication. Would definitely stay here again.

• Great house for a big group

  We rented this house bc it had ample room for 8 adults and the views of the lake were great. Needed a relaxing weekend to unwind and spend with family. The house was clean, but definitely needs repairs to things. Overall it was a good house and we enjoyed our time together as a family which was the goal.
