We LOVED our stay in this historic, former supper club. Its close to town, on a lake, and PLENTY for the kids to do with a pool table, foosball, and tons of board games! EVERYTHING was provided, including life jackets for the canoes, collapsible lawn chairs for the 4th of July parade, cushions for outdoor seating, roasting sticks for campfire marshmallows, and even a foldable cot for one of the kids. Laundry was on site, the beds were comfortable, quiet location, and the propety manager was super responsive if i ever had a question! I literally cant think of a better place to have spent a week in Rhinelander. LOVED our cabin! The only thing i wish they would address is that the house is big enough to host a family, but literally nothing in the kitchen is big enough to cook for a family! A large pot and colander for making pasta would be great! (Small issue considering how awesome this place was overall)

Had a great time. Highly recommend this rental for fishing and boating. Great location leading into Boom Lake and close to downtown Rhinelander. The retro vibe was cool. Very spacious, easy parking, Big screen TV, and King size bed was comfortable. The property manager was very attentive and helpful.
We had a grand time. Sue, your local rep, was right on top of things. Always available to answer questions. And, when water began leaking from the refrigerator, she came and checked it out almost immediately. I knew Dick and Dolly well because their daughter, Sarah, is my sister-in-law. We enjoyed a mini-family reunion, with many relatives who still live in the area, so it was a perfect location to do that. Most had not been inside the building since the restaurant closed - there were many reminders of the many times we all had eaten there.
I want to make One Big suggestion - please put an overhead light in the bedroom off the kitchen. The room is very dark and a small investment would help a lot. I bought a side table for the bed in that room as there was nothing on both sides of the bed to put my glasses, book, etc. on when I retired in the evening.
Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely! It was wonderful to sit at the kitchen table and watch the lake. The outdoor seating in the back was perfect for people to harass the cooks when they were grilling and also just to sit and visit. I understand the owner is buying up many old restaurants and converting them to Airbnb's - sounds like a good plan!
The retro supper club vibe in this house is fun. The common spaces are large and the original woodwork is cool, but the house is dark, exacerbated by several lights that didn’t work. The kids loved the popcorn machine. The owner was responsive when we needed new oars for the rowboat and a password to watch movies. But the property looks neglected and needs work. The landscape is overrun by weeds; there were screens missing on the windows; we only saw two smoke detectors in the entire house. The front seat of the rowboat is cracked and the middle seat is missing a piece, making it impossible to sit on. There was no anchor so taking it out to fish was frustrating. By the dock we noticed an old, broken and jagged dock pole underwater, very near the right dock, which could cause serious injury. That, along the super murky water, made the lake un-swimmable for us. Inside, we saw cobwebs in many corners. We were disappointed that we were each only given one towel/washcloth for four nights (and with two kids, more towels were needed). There was no soap provided in the showers and we had to buy more paper towels because one roll was not enough for six people for five days. Overall, we were disappointed. For what we paid (average of about $665 per night with all the fees) we expected a cleaner, more functional and more well-appointed property.

Bar room with pool table and the living/dining room are spacious and good rooms to gather and play games. Location is perfect with a public boat launch 300 feet away. More care could be taken to clean the unit. The outside has huge potential but it seems there is not much care for the outside. The shubs, weeds and vines are over grown and obstruct the lake view and give little room for an outside table.
